ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN

Job Description

​

The successful candidate will take part in the production of architectural projects. Typical assignments will include preparing existing conditions models and drawings using Autodesk Revit and Autodesk ReCap, producing construction documents and working with our BIM VDC group. High proficiency in Revit is required. We offer relocation assistance for candidates interested in moving to the Lexington, KY metro area.

Primary Responsibilities

​

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the BIM and VDC realm in order to support the company’s activities as they pertain to providing leading edge BIM and VDC solutions to it’s clients

• Develop architectural existing conditions models in Revit

• Understand and adhere to industry standards as they relate to code requirements, construction and best practices.

• Drafting and development of measured drawings

• Establish and maintain notes and other documentation of ongoing and proposed research as it relates to BIM/VDC in order to support the company’s business goals and technical capacity

• Maintain project schedule

• Others as assigned
   

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent in architecture, architectural drafting or related field

• Proficiency in Revit

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• Ability to work as part of a team and in support of other team members

• Excellent communication skills

• Well developed problem solving and analytical skills
